Subject: Christmas

Greetings Nepali Family and Friends,

I am planning to come to Nepal about December 11 or 12 to go to Dummana
with T.R. for 5 or 6 days. Then will come back to Kathmandu. Joy and Douglas will join me in Kathmandu and we will be with Sima and family for Christmas.

We are moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand and will work on getting Sima there for school. If she gets accepted by Oct. 31 and can come early that is o.k. If she does not make it by then, we will work on getting her and Douglas both into the same
English program starting in March. They can study together! We are looking at
this as a permanent, i.e. for the duration of this life, move. If Douglas and Sima want to come back to U.S. a couple years down the road, they can pursue that idea at that time.

We have a Chafer Seminary student who is going to rent our houses so we won't even think about whether we sell it or keep it for a couple of years.

I will be here in U.S. through the spring because I am going to take some courses at Dallas Seminary. I will be with Joy and Douglas a few days in March (on my way to China) and then in June, Joy and I have to be at a conference in Seoul, South Korea.

This is a big move for us .... but one that had seeds planted about 10 years ago when I started working in Asia. It has taken a long time for the right timing -- but the timing is right now (and you can take that either way: right-now, or right, now!).

Love you all
