Following the completion of Glen’s Master Degree at Dallas Theological Seminary, the family moved to Austin where Glen enrolled in the University of Texas to pursue another Master Degree, this one in Classical Greek. The problem with that was that Glen became a die-hard UT fan ... and we all know how passionate Glen could be about something he liked!

When Glen and family lived in Austin, we (the Joe Killgore family of six) went to visit them. While there, I began wondering if toddler Douglas was hearing?? I mentioned my concern to Glen and Joy, who said they had also been wondering about that. Later, as all were visiting, I stood behind Doug and made a LOUD noise, startling everyone in the room . . . except for Doug, who did not seem to hear it at all. So they began considering help for him.
