Glenden Paul Riddle - March 2, 2015 So the old girl is moving slower .. when I started working in the jail ministry there was an old man .. Earl Massengill .. came into the jail couple days each week, passed out stamps, paper, pencils, BIbles, other reading, etc. and led many to the Lord .. moved slower than a pumpkin .... and ran circles around me. I never figured it out totally but I do know for sure that he just moved at the speed God designed him to go while I tried to run ahead to accomplish more! The tortoise and the hare ... never was a truer story. That really is what the fruit of the Spirit is all about ... it is God working through a totally dedicated vessel that is void of selfish ambition and goals -- focused only on giving and serving (which is AKA 'loving') .. when the human part gets out of the way the Divine agent is ready to fill that void with eternal good. So even the old girl Mary D. goes much further in the race than those of us less emptied of self. To be more like Mary!!!
