"But those who suffer he delivers in their suffering; he speaks to them in their affliction" (Job 36:15). Thank you, Lord, that you do not leave us alone in our suffering. Please help us to hear your voice. Help us to experience the reality of your constant presence. As I run the LA Marathon on Sunday I'll be thinking of Glen and praying for you. It was 3 years ago that Glen and I ran the race together as he timed his return trip from Asia to be in LA. He has run the good race and I'm thankful for his friendship and love for God and others.
