Glen was always smiling and ready to laugh. He was inventive, intelligent and imaginative. Duey and Glen built the best roads and villages in the sand and could drive their small cars all over "town". We played cowboys and Indians chasing each other. One day Glen forgot his position and fell off the garage. Luckily nothing broken but he sure lost his breath.

There was the time Glen had a motor scooter wreck resulting in a broken arm. It was the day before he was to go to Dallas for open heart surgery. The heart surgeons said come on. Glen remembers the bed of ice for three days.

Then the time he went to Arizona with the friend and they had a car wreck. The parents didn't survive and Glen was in the hospital for a week in Arizona. Mother and Daddy almost-NEVER traveled out of state, but they went there to get Glen, and they visited the Grand Canyon.

Then the night he ran into the back of a truck that was stopped on the highway with its lights off. Glen lost his two front teeth that time .

And the time his friend had a gun that was unloaded (he thought) and narrowly missed Glen’s head with a bullet!

Aunt Rogers said, "God really has something special for you to do with all the things you have survived!’
