When he was a baby he had red curly hair. When we moved to Tahoka, our daddy and Uncle Thorton took to him to the barber shop. Mother cried when they came home to reveal that they had had all his curls cut off. In one of the photos you can see some curls on top of his head. I remember him more as we all grew up and he would come home at Christmas or maybe reunion time. There would always be some jokes to share. The five of us children would gather around the piano and with June playing we would sing good ole gospel songs. Daddy esp. loved us to sing Farther Along. He would even sing along with us. Most of all I remember he was my little brother and I loved him.
