My heart has been heavy recently a very close friend, mentor, and person I admired passed. I spent nearly every day for a number of years with Chaplain Glenden Paul Riddle and Master Chief Ernie Durr and LCDR Joseph P. Sánchez doing Navy Funeral Honors. These three men were such a great influence on my life and I was so sad to hear about Chaplain and the injuries his wife sustained. I loved my time in the Navy and learned so much. May peace be with Chaplain's family at this time. It was an honor to serve with Chaplain. I was on active duty special work specifically for funeral honors and spent so much time with him. Thank you. He even came to our little restaurant in Estancia and shared his Dublin Dr. Pepper. I still have a bottle un-opened.
